Currently, we are looking for a Presales Solution Consultant - Cloud Services for our team in Poland, Germany, Austria, the UK, the Netherlands, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.

The Presales Solution Consultant - Cloud Services is a key role within Nordcloud & IBM in enabling our customers journey to leverage cloud and innovate/develop a hyperscale cloud/bimodal operating model. You’ll work as part of a hyperscale aligned pre-sales team, taking customers through the full journey from initial engagement, through proposal stage and potentially supporting clients during implementation.

For cloud only deals, you may be the only Solution Architect/Consultant assigned to the deal, however for multi-platform deals, you’ll likely work as part of a wider team of Solution Architects & Consultants in the overall solutioning and delivery. We are looking for experts who can build credibility and trust with our clients and provide knowledge that addresses their individual and unique business needs.

Your daily responsibilities:

  • Working in the deal shaping, proposal stages and then engage in the delivery of cloud transformation projects covering the design and implementation phases of the project before handing over to delivery, consulting, support, and operations teams
  • Understanding client requirements and translate that into a Nordcloud offer or an approach to drive a way forward in developing solutions that meet these needs in a customer facing role
  • Orchestrating and leading pre-sales efforts inclusive of holistic IT optimization, consolidation, and transformation solutions for large customers and of developing a strategy and collective vision
  • Helping our project managers and cloud engineers to understand the customers' needs and you will help our sales team identify sales blockers and create offers
  • Working as part of a team on the end-to-end sales cycle, from the early stages of the engagement where you’re helping answer Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) through customer presentations and workshops and then producing the required client artefacts
  • Contributing to consulting projects by working together with our Cloud Advisors on customer projects, for example in planning cloud business cases, defining cloud strategies, or delivering operating models
  • Providing the “glue” between Nordcloud Delivery, Sales, our hyperscale partners and most importantly the customer
  • Occasional travelling in Europe may be an option, depending on the assignment and your preferences

Your key skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a PreSales role for public cloud services and solutions
  • Strong verbal communication skills and confidence in a client facing role at CxO level
  • Understanding of the presales solutioning process (for example deal qualification, solutioning, sales to delivery handover)
  • Expertise and certifications in the public cloud (AWS or Azure or Google Cloud or IBM Cloud) and DevOps technologies
  • A deep understanding of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and other prominent Public Cloud platform features, capabilities and how to optimise these for an engagement
  • Experience in at least one of these areas: Managed Services, Systems Operations /Systems Management, Networking, IT Security, and IT Governance
  • Confident with financial modeling to not only solution a deal, but cost the overall solution
  • Fluent communication skills in English; local language is a plus
