Your daily responsibilities:
Working as a technical consultant and architect for customers through project work. Communicating, designing and guiding the implementations for our customer cloud solutions as well as doing hands-on implementation when needed. Helping engineers and other technical roles to build successful outcomes that meet the customers’ needs. Working together with sales and project managers to manage the customer expectations from a technical and operational point of view. Educating customers on best practices in the public cloud and communicating solution offerings in a manner that customers understand the value within them.
Cloud architect responsibilities and tasks:
- Capturing, creating and working with technical architectures (infrastructure) and domains based on client needs
- Working with cloud in an enterprise (infrastructure) context
- Documentation and communication of deliverables and the impact of designs to different stakeholders
- Understanding, communicating and implementing the well-architected pillars of public cloud
- Scouting for new business opportunities for Nordcloud within customer projects
- Implementation and responsibility for technical solutions
- Using DevOps best practices
- Keeping skills and relevant knowledge up-to-date based on market needs
- Sharing the knowledge amongst peers, community and partners
- As we have varying opportunities to work internationally, some readiness to travel in Finland and other locations in Europe is required.
Your key skills:
- Professional experience in Infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)
- Professional experience in serverless computing (Lambda & Fargate)
- Professional experience in multi-account organizations (Landing Zones, Cloud foundation)
- Professional experience in and understanding of Cloud Security (KMS, IAM, WAF/Shield)
- Professional experience in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python, JS/TS)
- Professional experience in CI/CD (ADO, Jenkins, CodePipeline, GitHub/Gitlab CI)
- Professional experience in Enterprise Networks & VPN in hybrid and/or multi-cloud environments.
- Professional experience in Migrations (from on-premises or other cloud providers to AWS, tools including e.g. AWS Migration Evaluator)
- Fluent communication skills in Finnish and English
Candidate should be on the proficiency level of Coach / Mentor on following areas (Has extensive experience in this competence. Has consistently provided new perspectives / ideas or suggested relevant improvements. Recognized as a go-to person internally / role model. Coaches/mentors others.):
- Cloud platforms and technologies
- Automation (CI/CD)
- Infrastructure
- Architecting
- Security
What sets you apart (we’d consider any of these as a big plus):
- Familiarity with compliance, governance in enterprise environments, cloud in general, working with security and compliance frameworks, processes
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional and other AWS Certificates
- At least 3 years of professional experience in Public Cloud and at least 5 years in relevant IT experience
- Experience from hybrid environments (on-premises, AWS Outpost, Azure Arc, Google Anthos, multi-cloud)
- Generative AI on AWS experience
