Currently, we are looking for a Managed Cloud Database Administrator to join our team in Poland.
At Nordcloud you'll get the chance to work with leading technologies as we partner with the premier global cloud platform infrastructure providers,
including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
Being a Managed Cloud Database Administrator focusing on Oracle you will work on various Cloud environments.
Our ideal candidate has expertise in Oracle and related technologies especially on following topics:
- Good understanding of Oracle architecture
- High availability and disaster recovery solutions for the databases (Data Guard)
- Migration techniques and technologies
- Performance tuning
- Skills in automation and scripting
- Experience working with the external customers
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics in English
- Cloud expertise (Azure / AWS / Google Cloud)
- Hands on Linux experience with Oracle installation, upgrade and patching including Data guard
- Good knowledge and experience with Oracle Database Backup and Recovery (RMAN)
- Oracle DBA experience 3+ years
- Fluent communication skills in English
Skills we'd consider a plus:
- PostgreSQL
- MySQL / MariaDB
- MS SQL Server
- IBM Db2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows
- Datadog
- Skills in programming and scripting: Bash / Python / Power Shell
- Skills with Terraform or Ansible
- Hands-on experience with Data Warehouses and columnar databases
